Mixed-use development to be built in New Rochelle

The two-tower residential development on Main Street in New Rochelle now has publicly available renderings of its final design.

The structures will be 28 stories tall, span 929,415 square feet, and offer 806 rental units. It will also have retail shops on the ground floor, a valet parking garage for 711 vehicles, and 25,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor amenities. The project was designed by Hill West Architects, and the developer is BRP Companies. Main Street bounds the property on the north side, Locust and North Avenue on the east and west sides, and Clinton Place on the south.

There will be 489 units in Building 1 and 316 units in Building 2. There will be 257 studio apartments, 377 apartments with one bedroom, 156 with two bedrooms, and 15 with three bedrooms.

The first few floors of the development house the retail space and the parking. The façade above this structure has beveled paneling in a bronze hue framing floor-to-ceiling glass. The central part of each tower has more expansive use of glass with mullions staggered in a grid arranged in increments of three stories.
