The new Democracy Visiting Fellow at the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation at Harvard Kennedy School is Dr. Jeanne Sheehan Zaino from Iona University in New Rochelle. She will be part of a team of practitioners and researchers from around the world whose mission is to examine the challenges of governance in the 21st century and developing innovative solutions.
Announcements of such new roles is often disseminated throughout a college community with flyer printing.
During the Fellowship, Zaino will use the resources and time to work on a new book that explores the causes of the decline of democracy and steps that can be taken to mitigate this situation.
Zaino is a professor of international studies and political science at Iona and is known for including experience from the real world in her classroom. She also contributes regularly to Bloomberg News and provides insights into constitutional governance, democratic institutions, and elections in this country and around the world.
