Two prestigious honors have been given to Dr. Christoph Winkler, an endowed professor at the Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Iona University in New Rochelle. These honors highlight his innovation, leadership, and commitment to community and student impact through entrepreneurship education.
The United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship also inducted him as a Justin G. Longenecker Fellow, which the highest honor of the organization. This award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development of entrepreneurship and small businesses and education through writing, research, teaching, and public service. The Model Program Award for 2025 in the Small Institutions category was also given to the Hynes Institute.
The University Innovation Fellows (UIF) program, housed at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford University, also named Winkler as a Faculty Innovation Fellow. This recognition was the culmination of a collaboration lasting two years with peers around the world to design unique projects that boost innovation at their schools and help students gain important skills and mindsets needed for the real-world.
