New apartment complex designed to attract millennials

In conjunction with the planned redevelopment project in downtown New Rochelle, officials from the city recently outlined a plan that would draw young, up-and-coming professionals to the city.

Noam Bramson, the Mayor of New Rochelle, has announced plans for the ‘Print House’. This would be a complex with just over 70 small apartments in the center of the city across from the New Rochelle Garage. It would also be within walking distance of the Metro-North train station that goes straight into New York City.

According to RDRXR, which is the company developing the new downtown plan, the design of the complex would be such that it would serve as a connection to the past, yet also look towards the future.

Bramson said that although Print House is only a small part of the comprehensive plan for the city, it is hoped that it will attract millennials and then lead to other similar developments.

The apartments themselves will be modern in design and will be small units, but there will be a lot of shared space for socializing or working, which is intended to attract young professionals.

The city may be looking to Print Brochures about Print House that would outline the advantages of living downtown and highlight those features that would bring in the millennials that New Rochelle seeks to attract.
