The Speakers in the Humanities program was launched in 1983 and has presented lectures on a broad range of topics by many distinguished scholars. The program provides scholarship in the humanities to hundreds of community groups and organizations, covering thousands of people across the state of New York.
The New York Council for the Humanities is a non-profit organization, associated with the National Endowment for the Humanities. Its goal is to ensure that humanities are part of the cultural and intellectual life of the people in New York State.
The lecture will be held tomorrow, May 2, at 1:00 pm at Iona College in New Rochelle
