College in New Rochelle appoints new head of mens basketball
Dan Geriot has been appointed as head coach of the men’s basketball team at Iona University in New Rochelle. For the last nine seasons, Geriot has been on the coaching staff of the New Orleans Pelicans and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the National Basketball Association.
Such new appointments often call for business card printing services.
President of Iona, Seamus Carey, Ph.D., said that over past couple of years the landscape of college basketball has changed so that for the basketball team at Iona to maintain the success it has had over several decades, a new structure and orientation for the program needs to be established. Carey added that Geriot’s experience is a great fit for the needs of the program and the student athletes will be successful both on and off the court with Geriot at the helm.
Director of athletics, Matthew Glovaski, said that the background of Geriot in coaching and player development will make him ideal for the university. Glovaski added that he understands what is needed to compete at a high level and has a vision for the future of the program so that the university is excited to have him join the team and see what value he can bring.
Geriot expressed his excitement about his new position. He said that there is a history of success and a strong basketball tradition at Iona and that he is looking forward to becoming part of it.
