Manhasset doctor selected for advisory board

Jeremy Koppel, M.D., has been appointed to the Medical, Scientific and Memory Screening Advisory Board of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA).

Dr. Koppel works at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research at Northwell Health in Manhasset, and is co-director at the Litwin-Zucker Center for the Study of Alzheimer’s Disease. She is a physician who has spent many years specializing in geriatric psychiatry.

Made up of leading experts in the research, care, and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, the Medical, Scientific and Memory Screening Advisory Board of the AFA provides help with the development of programs, policies, and advocacy efforts related to care and research.

Fuschillo, Jr., said that Dr. Koppel is a distinguished and leading physician and researcher who has spent 30 years making a difference for patients and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease. He added that Dr. Koppel’s experience and his passion to help others will enable him to make valuable contributions to the advisory board.
