As people age, they can become more prone to developing osteoporosis, and a Manhasset area workshop will help those who take part protect the good health of their bones.
The organizers of the ‘Avoiding Osteoporosis and Fractures: Improving Bone Health As We Age’ information session noted that people aged 65 and older can become more prone to developing osteoporosis, and since their risk of falling can also go up, it is important that they keep their bones strong. The topics of fall prevention and treatment options available in the event of a broken hip will also be discussed.
This workshop is being offered to the community courtesy of support from the doctors and other healthcare professionals at the Northwell Health Orthopaedic Institute. It will run for approximately two hours, and refreshments will be available to those who come out. There is no cost to be included in the audience. Promotional Pens that include the planner’s logo and contact details can be designed and prepared by a printer for distribution during an event like this.
Northwell Health, which can be found at 2000 Marcus Avenue in New Hyde Park, has been chosen as the location for this opportunity to learn about the importance of bone health. It will begin at 7:00 pm on August 9, and anyone who is interested is welcome to participate.
