Next weekend, Mill Neck Manor will be opening its doors for one of its monthly tours.
Guests will be treated to a guided tour of the manor and its grounds, and there will also be light refreshments provided after the tours. The tours run between 11:00 am and 12:30 pm and are 90 minutes in length. For those attendees who are hearing impaired, a sign language translator can be made available with advanced notice.
The manor is a Tudor Revival mansion that was built in 1923 for the Dodge family. It features 34 family and bedrooms and 16 bathrooms that are distributed over two stories. The grounds cover 86 acres and are especially famous for their sunken gardens, which are fenced by bronze gates called the Gate of the Moon and the Gate of the Sun.
The estate was sold to the Lutheran Friends of the Deaf in 1949, and for a while it was the home for the Mill Neck Manor School of the Deaf. More recently the manor has become a protected historical site. In 2009 it won the Preservation Award from the Society for Preservation of Long Island.
Organizers for this event may want to turn to flyer printing companies to help them advertise for it. Distributing Postcards, Flyers, or promotional Posters is a good way to get the word out about an event in nearby towns like Syosset or Manhasset.
Registration is required for the Sunday, July 14 event. It costs $25 for general admission, $20 for seniors, and $15 for students.Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Postcards Get a Free Quote for Posters
