Festival of color and light comes to Manhasset

Whitney Pond Park in Manhasset is now holding a dazzling winter wonderland.

The LuminoCity Festival features one-of-a-kind handmade towering luminescent sculptures and illuminated works of art. Lumi, the mascot of LuminoCity, serves as a guide to take guests through this immersive outdoor event for a festive experience for people of all ages. Having opened last Friday, November 12, the festival uses imagination and light to transform creative thoughts into bright and festive works of color and light that reflect this year’s theme of “Shine Again,” which alludes to the warmth and power of light overcoming darkness.

Local Print shops are often hired to create festive and colorful Flyers and other printed materials to promote such special seasonal events.

Tickets are timed and start at $38 for general admission, which includes free parking from the Macy’s parking lot across the street and a shuttle to the park. Tickets for children between the ages of 3 and 12 are $27. VIP tickets are $76 and offer quick access into the festival through the VIP entrance, a complimentary Lumi goodie bag with Lumi’s favorite things, and 10% off at the gift shop.

The town of North Hempstead and LuminoCity expressed their pride in being able to work together to host this special event at Whitney Pond Park in Manhasset. The festival will run through Sunday January 9, 2022.
