Just about every weekend through December, shoppers will have the opportunity to enjoy the experience of swap meet shopping at the flea market in Westbury.
Though this venue is still rather new to the area, the Westbury Market Fair comprises vendors who have plenty of experience in the flea market enterprise.
The event usually features the items of over 100 different vendors. Many of them have been in the business now for over 20 years participating, in other markets like the Green Acres Flea Market, Aqueduct, and Roosevelt. A few of the vendors are local, and others are from Queens, Suffolk County, and Nassau. Promoters of the event boast of their low prices on brand name merchandise and their wide variety of products, like jewelry, perfumes, toys, antiques, glasses, belts, watches, and other accessories.
Though the event has been established since March 2015, the market is still welcoming new vendors who might benefit from Banners to help showcase their merchandise, and Flyers to advertise their prices and other pertinent information. To facilitate in transportation to the event, a commuter van leaving the Jamaica Center travels to the event on Saturdays and Sundays at 8:00 am.
The event takes place almost every Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at 960 Brush Hollow Road, in Westbury, which is about 14 miles north of Island Park.
