A cuddly stuffed friend can be a great companion for the winter months, and the Island Park Public Library will soon be running an event that will help kids create one to snuggle with.
Stuffies NY will be heading back to the venue for the Stuff a Polar Bear session. It will be taking place in mid-December, and a registration fee of $12 is being charged.
Each child will receive the polar bear form for stuffing, and they can watch the stuffing machine transform their new friend. They will also receive a satin heart, a “birth certificate,” wishing stars, and a sticker craft. Additional items will be available for purchase as well. They will also go home with a carry bag they can color, and also a set of markers. The session will take place in the library’s community room, and is for those ages 4 to 9.
A make-and-take workshop encourages them to get creative and rewards them for their efforts. Printed materials for an activity will be available at a local printing services company, which can offer everything from promotional Pens to full-sized Banners, Posters, and other items.
This chance for Island Park kids to make a new friend to cuddle and love will be offered on December 21. It will run from 4:15 pm until 5:15 pm.
