Over the weekend of January 19, New Yorkers can get ready for thrills and chills in Rockville Centre as Twitchtwitch Productions brings in its 2nd Annual Macabre Faire Film Festival.
The festival features short films, music videos, documentaries and animations in genres like suspense, horror, sci-fi, macabre, thriller, and mystery. There will be scheduled film blocks as well as stage performances. Merchandise vendors will be on hand too.
The festival is perfect for those interested in this genre of films, but it is also a great place for people who are interested in working in film to meet some people who work in the industry. Aspiring actors and directors are encouraged to check it out, as are any film students who want to know more about the business.
The event is being held at the Best Western Mill River Manor Hotel. Admission is $15 for a day pass and $25 for a two-day pass. The hotel is right next to the Rockville Centre LIRR stop, so it should be easy to travel to. Residents in nearby areas like Oceanside, Lynbrook, Baldwin, and Island Park should not have any trouble getting there.
It is likely that Twitchtwitch Productions will be hiring Print companies to create Flyers to be handed out in areas all over Long Island to try and draw in crowds. Given that it is only the festival's second year, organizers probably still feel the need to bring in an audience.
