Residents of Island Park will be treated to the unique experience of live music under the stars.
A family-friendly concert at Shell Creek Park is in the works for late August. The musical talent for the evening will be A Witch's Brew, which will be performing rock and roll classics.
Families, groups of friends, and everyone else who plans on attending the function can bring their blanket or folding chair, and there will be food available for purchase at the onsite trucks. People who drop by can also bring their own if they wish. The celebration will run for two hours, and admission will be free.
To help make the gathering a true community event, the organizers have put out a call seeking sponsors. Businesses that step forward will have their generosity acknowledged. Many event organizers choose to include the logo or other branding of its supporters in its marketing materials, which may be prepared by a local flyer or brochure printing company.
This installment in the Town of Hempstead Neighbourhood Block Parties will be bringing the fun to Shell Creek Park in Island Park on Wednesday, August 20.
