Milestone year festival soon to commence

Very shortly, the Long Beach area will kick off the fall season by celebrating its 20th annual fall festival over a two-day weekend.

The event is family oriented and will offer something for every member of the family to do and see. The main attraction will be the pumpkin patch, which has thousands of the orange fruits to be picked. Other sorts of entertainment will include a pumpkin bounce house, a petting zoo, a Ferris wheel, a haunted house, a carousel, a hay wagon, and a fire engine ride. In addition to these, returning attractions will include the children’s activity tent, which will be sponsored by the Girl Scouts, who will offer arts and crafts projects for the kids.

Adults will not be excluded; there will be food vendors on site that will feature fresh produce, pies, and breads, and there will be craft vendors located throughout the festival area who might benefit from Flyers that explain and further promote their wares. Visitors over the age of 21 will have the opportunity to sample wines and foods that will be available at the Food & Wine Tent. All of this action and more will occur to the tunes of live music performances.

This two day outdoor festival will take place from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm this Saturday and Sunday, October 8 and 9, in Kennedy Plaza, located very close to Island Park.
