Pet parents and professionals who work with animals in their professional life may be interested in an upcoming class that can teach them how to save their life of a furry friend in an emergency situation.
A first aid and CPR workshop for pets will be held near Island Park, and it will include four hours of hands-on learning. Each student will practice the techniques they will learn on a dog mannequin, and the information provided can be applied to dogs or cats.
The participants will learn how to perform a primary assessment as well as how to perform a snout-to-tail check for wellness and injury, feline and canine CPR, restraining and muzzling, as well as rescue breathing. There will be time to ask questions, and those who successfully complete the training will be given a certificate to indicate they know what to do in an emergency.
Along with the certificate of completion, all of the students will be given a PetSaver handbook. A printing services provider will be able to provide Copies of a bound learning aid such as his.
This workshop will be offered to the public on July 21 in Long Beach at a location to be disclosed upon registration. The fee for the lesson is $97 each, and it is just one of an assortment of classes that are provided to animal lovers by the organizer. More details, for anyone who needs them, can be obtained by visiting the host’s website.
