The Village of Island Park is proud of the strong sense of community among those who call the location home, and it has an evening of activities in the works for this month.
The venue, which is situated at the corner of Warwick Road and Long Beach Road, will be all decked out for the season. Its Winter Wonderland event will be filled with fun for all ages, and a special celebrity who dresses all in red is on the VIP guestlist.
The gathering will kick off with a tree lighting ceremony, and everyone can lace up their skates and take to the rink for some skating. The kids can have some frosty fun while they climb and bounce on the inflatables, and Santa will be coming down from the North Pole for the celebration. Steaming cups of hot chocolate will be handed out to the crowd as well.
To help make sure every child in the community can experience the magic of the season, American Legion Post 1029 will be partnering with Toys for Tots by collecting new, unwrapped toys. Signage for donation Boxes or contribution collection stations can be prepared for an activity by a poster printing company.
The Village of Island Park will be celebrating the season with its Winter Wonderland gathering on December 13. It will start at 6:00 pm.
