The Long Beach/Island Park Lions Club has organized an event it hopes will put the “fun” in fundraising.
The community service group has invited locals to enjoy the excitement of a Bingo Night, and tickets for the activity start at $20 each. The charity of choice for the occasion will be the Scott Strong Athletic Fund, and a portion will also go to help meet the expenses of providing a service dog to a veteran.
Those who are interested in attending can choose to purchase their passes ahead of time or at the door, and they start at $20 per person. Each attendee will receive two game cards, as well as desserts and soft drinks to sip on while they play. Anyone who would like to purchase additional cards may do so, and the excitement of an even-split raffle and door prize draws are in the works.
Fundraisers may attract a lot of attention from the local community, which can be key to their success. Promotional materials prepared by a poster printing company may provide a budget-friendly way to market an activity.
The Lions Club Bingo Night will bring the fun to the VFW located at 675 W. Park Avenue in Long Beach next Wednesday, April 23. The doors will open at 6:00 pm, and the numbers will start being called at 6:30 pm.
