Cooking enthusiasts in the Island Park area are putting on their aprons and getting ready for the Island Park Library’s latest workshop.
The Mini Zucchini Bread seminar is a comprehensive event aimed at helping people learn a well-loved recipe.
Though one of the most popular sweet breads in the United States, Zucchini Bread is also considered one of the more difficult to master. This is due to the extra moisture added by the zucchini itself, which complicates the rising and texture of the bread, as well as the spice balance needed to properly accentuate the flavor of the squash.
Cooking expert Kathy G. will tackle every part of this complicated recipe. She will lay out all the ingredients and show the best way to measure them, and will then cover how to prepare all the ingredients, crushing, slicing, and mixing it all together to make the perfect batter. Some samples will be available to try at the end of the workshop. Afterwards, all participants will receive a small loaf pan and a small booklet printing of the recipe to try it at home.
The Mini Zucchini Bread workshop will be held tomorrow, February 28, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Island Park Public Library, located at 176 Long Beach Rd. It is free to attend, but no children will be allowed to attend even when accompanied by an adult. Anyone interested in more info should contact the library directly.
