Island Park families invited to attend area car show

The pleasant weather of mid-June can be especially suited to outdoors events, and one planned for the Island Park area may be a good fit for local classic vehicle buffs.

The 5th annual Father's Day Car Show is right around the corner, and it will be a non-judged activity. The first 400 cars to arrive at the venue will receive a dash plaque with a custom graphic design, and the function will serve as fundraiser for the Correction Officers Benevolent Association of Nassau Widows and Children’s Fund.

As well as the cars, the function will welcome trucks and motorcycles, and a touch-a-truck display of first responders will also be set up. All ages will be able to explore this specialized equipment, and while admission is free to the public, donations will be most welcome. A selection of food trucks will round out the occasion.

Along with the dash plaques, the first 400 vehicles owners will receive a T-shirt. Marketing materials for an activity can be prepared by a company that crafts Corporate Gifts.

This 15th annual day of fun for Long Island dads will be held on Sunday, June 18 at the Merrick Train Station. The fun will get started at 9:00 am, and more information about the celebration can be found by visiting its online listing on AllEvents.
