Those who enjoy baking at home and want to take their skills up a notch are welcome to register now for an Island Park area workshop.
Blacksmith’s Breads has scheduled Shaping Bread, which will give those who already have a basic knowledge of working with sourdough the chance to add to their skillset. Everyone will get lots of hands-on practice, and tickets start at $129.89, including booking fees and taxes.
Registrants will be preparing loaves in a variety of shapes, and they will walk away with plenty of fresh bread to keep or share. It will be a social occasion, and everyone is invited to help themselves to the light bites that will be served, and they may also bring along some alcoholic drinks if they wish. The bread will be baked the next day, and the attendees are welcome to drop by and score their creations, or they can have the staff do so for them if they prefer.
A baking other cookery class can be a fun way to learn useful skills. Basic recipe Books for the learners can be prepared by Print shops, which will have a variety of binding options available.
This next step for the home bread baker will begin at 5:00 pm on Saturday, May 4. It will be on offer at 870 West Beech Street in Long Beach.
