The weekend after the Fourth of July, the Long Beach Boardwalk will come to life.
This year, the Arts and Crafts Festival will be situated on the boardwalk between Long Beach Boulevard and Edwards Boulevard, just a couple of miles south of Island Park.
There will be various activities in which the public can participate. The event will feature an entire food court that will be serving all sorts of foods ranging from Italian, to Greek, to ice creams and smoothies. There will also be food trucks located on the Riverside Boulevard next to the boardwalk. There will be live performances by Pat Perrone, who is an Elvis impersonator, and a pop/rock group known as On the Flip Side.
The main event, however, will be the displays of over 200 arts and crafts vendors. The crafts will range from handcrafted jewelry, homemade candles, and wooden items, to home décor, photography, caricature portraits, and paintings of a nautical theme. Vendors might benefit from the use of Flyers that promote their presence and their products among the expected heavy traffic for this major event.
It will take place on Saturday and Sunday, July 9 and 10, from 10:00 m to 6:00 pm daily. Parking is available in the lots that are adjacent to the boardwalk and at the LIRR station.
