An evening of fun in support of local families will be held this summer near Island Park, and all those who are 16 years of age and over are welcome to join in the fun.
Rescuing Families Inc. has organized its first ever BBQ party, and it will include a full menu of summertime picnic fare. Guests can enjoy hot dogs, burgers, corn on the cob, and chicken served in all-you-can-eat style, and wine, beer and specialty drinks will be available for purchase as well.
Along with the food, attendees will be able to take in a performance by the magician Gary the Great as he strolls through the crowd. Live music is also on the agenda, and a Chinese auction, even split raffle, and a variety of backyard games will also be on offer.
The proceeds from this evening of summer fun will be used by Rescuing Families to purchase building supplies, and these will be used to aid families from Long Island that have a disabled member in making repairs to their home. Tickets are being sold for $20 each. A local printer can offer Logo Design and other services for an occasion such as this.
Those who are interested in attending this summer celebration can find more information on the organizer’s Facebook page. It will be held on August 4 at 1010 Lewiston Street in Franklin Square.
