The Dix Hills Performing Arts Center will host a ‘Tribute to the Great Jazz Organists, Nancy Wilson and Tap!’ at the beginning of February – one of two music-packed shows to start the month.
Maurice Chestnut provides the tap dancing in the title while vocalist Charisa rouse will perform a variety of songs written by Nancy Wilson. Organist and jazz pianist TW Sample will perform some of the great jazz music of our time. Tickets are $20 for the show, which begins at 7:30 p.m. on February 1.
The following day is likely to call for yet more promotional poster printing, the arts center will feature ‘Mostly Moptop in Two of Us: The Ballad of John and Paul’ which explores the song writing partnership of Paul McCartney and John Lennon.

The rink is open 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm Monday to Friday, 11:00 am - 9:00 pm on Saturdays, and 11:00 am – 8:00 pm Sundays.
Admission is $7 and skate rentals are $3 Monday to Thursday. Weekend rentals are $10 for admission and $4 for skate rentals. Children age four and younger are free. Special nights include free skate rental from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Mondays, free skate rental on Tuesdays for students with ID, and a live DJ from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Fridays.
