Island Park bowlers and those who just want to lend some local felines a helping hand are invited to lace up their shoes for an afternoon of fun on the lanes.
The Long Beach Humane Society has planned an evening of bowling in support of its Kitty Cove. The first 170 people to come out will each receive an unlimited use of the lanes, and there will be lots more going on as well. Anyone who wishes to purchase food or a drink on site will be able to do so.
A silent auction is on the agenda for the event, and an even split draw and basket raffle will also be taking place. The proceeds from all of these activities will be used to help provide food and other necessities for the cats that are in the Humane Society’s care so that they will be able to transition to a loving forever home.
Both adult and children’s tickets for the function are being sold, and they can be purchased both online and at the door. Flyers that promote an activity like this can be crafted by an area printer for distribution to the community.
This evening in support of some of the area’s feline friends in need has been planned for February 18. It will be held in Rockville Centre Lanes, and anyone who would like to help is welcome to participate.
