The Fairport Library has a number of winter activities for adults and children. There will be computer training, crafts, babysitter training, stories, and games.
Babysitter Training for kids ages 11-15 will be on January 3 from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm. This course teaches first aid, child safety, and care.
Digital Help from Rochester Literacy Volunteers will be held every Thursday and Friday in January from 12:00 – 3:00 pm and also every Monday and Wednesday evening in the month from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. Volunteers will teach students to complete online Forms, write letters, complete résumés and use computer programs.
Terrarium for Teens workshop will be held on January 2 at 2:00 pm. In a class designed for grades 6-12, Jardin Terrariums will show each student how to build and care for their own terrarium.
The Adult Do It Yourself Craft Club meets on January 2 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. The project is a winter scene vase to use as candle holder or gift.
Write On!, a creative writing group for children ages 8-12, will be held January 9 from 4:00 - 4:45 pm. Children will participate in writing activities, share ideas, and play games.
PJ Storytime meets on January 13, 20, and 27 at 7:00 to 7:30 pm. Young children can wear pajamas and come to hear songs, and stories. Printers provide Logo Design for organizations like this.
Tween Innovator Club will be on January 30 at 4:00 - 4:45 pm for children 8-12 learn about robotics, iPads, and photography. The Fairport Library is located at 1 Fairport Village Landing.
