Fairport residents who wanted to learn more about keeping backyard chickens but didn’t know who to ask will soon be flocking to a local venue for a learning opportunity,
The crew at Lollypop Farm offer sessions covering a variety of topics related to animal care, and it has scheduled a session of its Backyard Chickens 101 workshop for August. It will pack a lot of information into its two-hour run time, and it can accommodate up to 15 attendees.
The facilitator for the class will help the registrants hit the ground running when it comes to caring for their own flock, and a variety of aspects of chicken care are on the agenda. The attendees can find out about the legalities of keeping these social birds and how to keep them healthy and happy. They can ask questions and connect with others who are also considering keeping their own coop. Everyone will walk away with resources that may be helpful to them, and it will begin at 2:00 pm.
Learning how to care for animals properly is often an important step in both companion and agricultural animal husbandry, and a workshop can point the way. A brochure printing company will be pleased to prepare learning materials to distribute.
The team at Lollypop Farm will be hosting this flock talk on August 30th. The talk is scheduled for 99 Victor Road in Fairport.
