Fairport families will be gathering at a venue that helps animals in need get a second chance, and a four-legged furry friend will be on hand to join in the fun.
Joy the goat, who is one of Lollypop Farm’s animal ambassadors, will greet the attendees involved in sessions of the venue’s Animal Tales program set for mid-September. She will remain on hand for the rest of the activity, and while the whole family is welcome, each minor will need to be accompanied by an adult.
The registration fee for each participant is $10.00, and parents or guardians are encouraged to pack up a picnic blanket to sit on for the story reading and other farm-focused activities. It will be held outdoors, and the kids will be invited to enjoy live interactions with Joy. The initiative aims to both build literacy and encourage kindness and compassion, and each installment of the program features a different animal encounter.
