Cats can be great animal companions, and a Fairport workshop will provide feline fans with an opportunity to learn about their behavior.
Lollypop Farm, which is operated by the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, has scheduled a session of its Cat Behavior 101 Class. It will provide an introduction for both current owners and those considering adding a new furry member to their family, and it is part of the organization's "What's My Animal Thinking" workshop list.
The attendees will learn the basics of reading cat body language and they will also be taught how to have safe interactions with almost any feline. Tips for communicating with their pet will be shared with the group, and a discussion of cat socialization and how to successfully modify their behaviour will be part of the activity. To thank the participants for coming out, they will be offered a 20 percent discount on the fees should they choose to adopt.
As well as this feline focused workshop, the Humane Society also offers classes that deal with dogs, backyard chickens and potbelly pigs, and one focused on "pocket pets” is in the works as well. A brochure printing company can prepare a variety of learning materials for an activity.
Lollypop Farm will be offering its Cat Behavior 101 Class on February 14th. It will run from 1:30 pm until 3:30 pm.
