Fairport workshop crafts festive decor
While the weather outdoors may be chilly, those who register for a Fairport area workshop will enjoy a taste of warmth.
Creative Gardens will be adding some extra sparkle to the season by offering a make-and-take session that will introduce the basic concepts of floral design. The participants will be preparing a festive table centerpiece. It has been planned for the evening hours, and will offer a break from the hustle and bustle of the winter holidays
The attendees will use the cut evergreen twigs and other material provided to build their masterpiece, and these will be enhanced by the addition of frosted berries and silvery branches. Pinecones and a glittery bird will add a touch of whimsy. While they work, guests can soak up the festive atmosphere, which will include lots of twinkling lights.
The session is for people aged 18 and up. People with disabilities who would like to take part are encouraged to contact the organizers to request accommodations. Stationery printers can prepare copies of safety rules, as well as handouts and other documents in Braille so that everyone can join in the fun of an organized activity.
This chance to enjoy a taste of festive warmth while preparing a piece of holiday decor is scheduled for Thursday, December 18, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The host can be contacted by anyone with questions by using its web listing.
