The Rock 'n' Run Family 5K event is taking place this month in Fairport.
The event is a cross-country race with divisions for the entire family, and is presented by Perinton Recreation and Parks.
The event will consist of a 5K run, a one-mile run for children between the ages of 7 and 12, and fun runs for kids aged 6 and under. Fees are $20 for the 5K, $12 for the one-mile run and free for the children's races, and a T-shirt is given to all participants while supplies last.
Awards will be given to the top male and female runners in various age groups, spanning from as young as eight years old, to competitors over the age of 70. All of the participants in the fun runs will receive a ribbon. Packages can be picked up at the Perinton Community Center on August 28 and 29.
In addition to the race, there will be a cookout dinner featuring foods like hot dogs and hamburgers, and musical entertainment from the Tommy Brunett Band.
It is likely that organizers contacted a Fairport Print company to provide the T-Shirts to participants and volunteers.
