Mike O'Brian, creator and host of the TV traveling show The Getaway Guy will give a talk at the Fairport Library in December. During it, he will talk about many of his favorite locations.
The Getaway Guy began on the cable TV Channel, R News, around 1995. From there, it continued for more than 23 years, much to the delight of cable viewers. During the days of the show, O'Brian traveled to places from as close by as New York State to as far away as Greece. These days, O'Brian has evolved his TV show in keeping with the changing times. He now hosts the podcast Tales of The Getaway Guy. As with the television show, the podcast still revolves around travels and everything the ordinary person needs for them.
During his library talk, O'Brian will share many of his favorite getaways for the winter season. These will include many tropical getaways that are not very far away from New York. He will also focus on a popular Getaway Guy TV episode that revolves around a popular hotel that people either can't wait to visit or don't want to visit at all.
The talk will take place on Tuesday, December 13, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm in the Community Room at 1 Fairport Village Landing. Content creators like O'Brian can use Business Cards to promote their content.
