The Fairport Library has a variety of classes and club activities for children and adults next month.
Coding classes, book clubs, computer classes, toddler story time are among the offerings at the 1 Fairport Village Landing location.
The Girls Who Code Club will meet for eight weeks on Mondays from 4:00 – 5:00 pm in January and February. This class is for girls in grade 3 to 5. Participants will learn computer skills and work on interesting projects.
The Hearts and Dagger Book Club meets January 8 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. This new book club alternates between romance and mystery novels every other month.
Back to a computing theme, Exploring Microsoft Excel for Beginners will be held on January 10 and 11 from 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm. In this two-part series, students will learn how to use cells, worksheets, and basic formulas. Fairport has Print shops that design Business Cards for organizations like this.
On January 16 at 7:00 to 8:00 pm, Simple Strategies for Stress Relief will be held in the community room. Cindy DeCarlo, a certified natural health specialist, will focus on strategies and tools to manage stress.
Toddler Storytime, designed for children 18 – 36 months will be held on January 22 and 29 at 9:30 am, 10:15 am, and 11:00 am. Little ones can enjoy stories, sing songs, and recite simple rhymes.
Lastly, on January 30 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm, Beat the Winter Blues Bracelets for Your Wardrobe will take place. Participants will make a gemstone bracelet with artist Deb Collier.
