A well-loved Fairport tradition will be returning in late September, and the whole city is welcome to get in on the fun.
The city will once again be hosting its Scarecrow Festival, where the entries will be prepared by local businesses and not-for-profit groups. Prizes will be presented to the top entries in a variety of categories, and the public can view the displays along North and South Main Street.
Residents and visitors alike will be able to view the scarecrows and take their picture with them, and as they go, they can discover the small businesses along the route. There will also be performances by Mother Goose on the Loose, pumpkin carving demonstration, and crafts for the kids. Pony rides will be available for the younger guests, and everyone can cast their vote for their top scarecrow in the People’s Choice competition.
Community events often count on the generous spirit of volunteers who are willing to donate their time and effort. T-Shirts, caps, lanyards, and other Corporate Gifts to present to those who lent a helping hand with an activity can be prepared by Print shops.
