Fairport sail offers taste of Caribbean fun

Fairport is about to be treated to a taste of the Caribbean, and the passengers who climb aboard won’t have to travel far to enjoy the experience.

A special sailing has been planned for late July that will feature Caribbean sounds, food and other fun. The Colonial Belle will be hosting the cruise, and it will make its way from Fairport to Pittsford before making it return.

The cruise will offer sunset views, and the package includes a Caribbean style dinner as well as live entertainment courtesy of the “Panloco Steelband Trio”. While the steel drums play, the passengers will be dining on rice, Jerk chicken, coleslaw and a dessert, and the food will be supplied by Spinelli’s Catering and Events. A fully stocked bar service will be available, the diners can choose to purchase a cocktail, beer, wine or another beverage. As per state regulations, outside food and beverages may not be brought aboard, and this includes bottled water.

Tour companies that offer special “one day only” outings may choose to have souvenir programs and other custom materials prepared for the occasion. These can be ordered from area printing services companies.

This casual, Caribbean-inspired cruise will take to the water at 400 Packett’s Landing in Fairport on July 31st. Boarding will begin 15 minutes ahead of its departure time of 7:00 pm.
