Fairport program supports small businesses
Fairport is a community that is “on the grow” and it has put a program in place to help mitigate the impact of the current construction projects on its small business community.
This fall, the community is undergoing a revamp, and the Construction Bucks initiative is designed to encourage the public to continue to patronize its shops and services. Many local companies will be taking part, and several eateries are on the roster along with many shops and service providers.
Each time they make a purchase at one of the participating venues, the public will receive $1.00 worth of "construction bucks” for each $10.00 they spend. These can then be redeemed at the merchants, and the program will be in place until November 1st. More than two dozen businesses have already signed on.
Initiatives that encourage shoppers to support their local shops, services and other establishments may benefit from some creative promotional ideas, and stationery printers will be happy to help. Their custom graphic design services can prepare a wide assortment of personalized products that can be very effective marketing materials.
