Fairport kids who enjoy casting their line will be able to do so when they take part in the 23rd annual Fishing Derby taking place in a local park.
Anglers from the ages of 6 to 15 years old can take part in the activity, and both residents and non-residents are welcome to participate. Perinton Park will be the venue for the outing, which is scheduled to run for two hours.
Kids who take part will need to provide their own bait, tackle, and other gear, and the derby will be a catch-and-release activity. There will be giveaways of Promotional Products and other prizes, and food will be served to the crowd as well. Sponsorship or the function has been provided by the Knights of Columbus. The registration fee for the day starts at $12 and adults must remain on site with their child.
