Fairport holding salesmanship seminar

Entrepreneurs and businessmen in the Fairport area are looking to up their sales game by attending the Selling Skills Workshop. The afternoon will work on everything needed for closing the deal, from the basic to the advanced.

The Flyers tout that this is a consumer-driven age, and that buyers are more informed now than ever before. To this end, knowing effective sales strategies can make the difference between a bankrupt business and a thriving one.

The seminar focuses on topics such as the basics of building a relationship with customers, the five stages of a sale, the fundamentals of negotiation, and commonly-used tactics for price negotiation and their countermeasures. By understanding buyers’ personalities, the workshop claims that attendees will learn how to more effectively sell to them.

The event is being led by Dr. Ragona, the successful leader of Ragona Scientific, with a doctorate from the University of London. Dr. Ragona has worked as a consultant for several thriving startup companies, and publishes regular articles on negotiation and sales strategies. He is certified as a mentor with the Greater Rochester chapter of SCORE.

The Selling Skills Workshop will be held on April 13 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Lyons National Bank located at 1314 Fairport Rd. Admission is free for members of the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce and $15 for nonmembers. Anyone interested in more information should call or check the website.
