The Eastview Mall will have The History of Fashion and Hollywood Collection by Gene London at the end of next month.
The Gene London Collection is known for costumes and jewelry from the Silver Age of cinema. The collection has fashion worn by famous stars like Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Fred Astaire, and Elizabeth Taylor.
The collections features turn-of-the-century and modern clothing in 24 steamer trunks on display in the Eastview Mall in Victor, which is only eight miles from Fairport. There will be tours given by London during the weeklong exhibit.
On September 23, a Red-Carpet Reception will be held at 7:00 pm at the Eastview Mall. A limited number of tickets will be sold for this event, which includes a complimentary cocktail, appetizers, and a private appraisal clinic with Gene London.
The Gene London Collection is one of the most extensive private collections of Golden Age film fashion in the word. London travels the world showing the collection for different clients, which include Turner Classic Movies and Mikimoto Pearls. He also co-curated the recent Marilyn Monroe exhibit at the Prague Castle Museum.
Located at 7979 Pittsfield-Victor Road, the Eastview Mall has shopping, fast food, restaurants, and a movie theater for shoppers. Fairport has many Print shops that help with the design of Posters and poster printing for this sort of exhibition.
The collections will be viewable from September 24 to 30.
