The winter holiday season is about to get a lot brighter for Fairport kids in need of some cheer, and residents can help make that happen.
Toys for Tots is a program administered by the U.S. Marines, and it makes sure every child has a gift to open over the holidays. A bowling fundraiser will support its efforts, and there is lots of fun to be had on its agenda.
Those who sign up for the day can don their ugliest holiday sweater, and the person wearing the one that’s the most unattractive will win a prize. Each bowler will be able to play three games, and shoe rental, one drink and a ticket for the raffle draw are included in the $21.00 ticket price.
The raffle for the day will see participants try their luck at winning one of the baskets of Corporate Gifts donated by the sponsors. An event split draw has also been planned.
Taking part in a festive fundraiser can be a fun way to take a break from the busy holiday season. The Ugly Sweater Bowling Party, which will help Toys for Tots make the holiday happier for local kids, is set for December 2nd.
