Fairport and Perinton ready for state of the town meeting

Flyers are going around for the State of the Village, Town, and Schools meeting for Fairport and Perinton. The event features speakers from local government and provides a great networking opportunity for individuals and businesses alike.

The event centers on a luncheon, at which three speakers will talk on a variety of issues. Michael Barker, the town supervisor of Perinton, and Frederick “Fritz” May, the Mayor of Fairport, will provide a State of the Union style address on their respective communities. The speeches are expected to cover economic development, safety, and community Calendars. Brett Provenzano, the Fairport Superintendent of Schools, will also give a presentation about the schools in the area.

The Fairport Perinton Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the luncheon. The nonprofit organization is devoted to helping member businesses thrive in the village of Fairport and the town of Perinton. They sponsor several events throughout the year that are aimed at networking, mutual support, and education.

The 2016 State of the Village, Town, and Schools will be held on January 21 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at The Burgundy Basin located at 1361 Marsh Road in Pittsford. Networking will take place for the first hour, with lunch and the presentations both starting at noon. Attendance costs $20 and includes the price of the meal.
