Fairport Canal Days will celebrate the 38th year as one of the leading art festivals in the country this summer in a festival that attracts more than 200,000 attendees each year.
The Fairport Festival is set in the village along the Erie Canal. The Fairport Perinton Merchants Association sponsors the annual event.
More than 200 artists will participate in the festival, bringing crafts, artwork, sculptures, gifts, and other unique items to the event. In addition to the artisans, vendors will be on hand to offer a wide variety of food items. Vendors may contact the local Print company to assist in preparing banner and business card printing for the event.
One of the highlights of the festival is the Duck Race. Attendees can buy a duck for $5 or pay $20 for five ducks. Tickets are on sale through many merchants within the village, or can be purchased every Saturday at the Fairport Farmers Market. Prizes will be award for the winning ducks, with the grand prize being $1,000. Other prizes include Apple iPads and gift cards.
The event will kick off with an opening BBQ on June 5 at 4:30 pm, followed by a concert. Live music will also be provided during the event. On Saturday, June 6, beginning at 10:00 am, the Canal Days Artisans, performers, and vendors will rock and roll the festival. A live band will perform that night too.Get a Free Quote for Print
