Fairport Canal Days, a three-day event sponsored by the Fairport Perinton Merchants Association and Fairport Canal Days, will have arts and crafts vendors, musical groups, food, and special events.
The festival is just over a month away and opens with a chicken barbecue in the evening and a concert. There is a ‘no pet’ policy.
With over 200 arts and crafts vendors attending, guests can expect to see leather goods, clothing, jewelry, quilts, toys, furniture, stained glass, ceramics, sculpture, paintings, photos, baskets, gardening tools, lawn decorations, landscapes, and watercolors.
Over 100 local retailers will be at the festival selling their merchandise. Food vendors will serve fried dough, hotdogs, hamburgers, pizza, sausage and peppers, sandwiches, salads, along with refreshments like coffee, wine, and beer.
Several bands will perform on three stages during the festival, offering jazz, rock, country, marching music, blues, and folk. An area called the Kids Zone has games, activities, and a bounce house.
Canal Nights continues the festival in the evenings with concerts, food, and local retailers open for shopping. Other special events are a Duck Race on the canal the last day of the festival.
The Fairport Canal Days will be on May 31 from 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm, June 1 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and June 2 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Fairport has printing services that design Posters and supplies poster printing for events like this.
Fairport Canal Days is located on North Main Street and South Main Street. There is free parking on the street and at Packetts Landing. A shuttle is available on Saturday and Sunday.
