Bakery owner to teach class at Fairport Library

The Fairport Public Library will be offering baking lovers, future bakery owners, and those who just want to try something new a treat this February. A local baker will be teaching a class on cookie decoration.

Rebecca Morgan is the owner of the local independent business Daydream Cakes. Her business has been open for over five years and has served hundreds of customers.

Before that, she had been baking, decorating, and selling cakes ever since she was 17 years old, both independently and with many other businesses. Her resumé includes such places as Betty’s Bakery and Silk Cakes.

This means that, as she is now at the age of 29, she has had over 10 years of experience in the baking business, which she brings to the upcoming class.

Everyone that comes to the class will receive a dozen undecorated cookies, piping Bags, and an information sheet that will have the recipe for the cookies and instructions on how to perfectly decorate them. Print shops in the area will often help create goods like these.

The class will take place at the Fairport Public Library, which is located at 1 Fairport Village Landing. The date for the event is a week today, February 2, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Guests should register on the library
