Spencerport Canal Days is taking place next month for two days. The festival has been held annually since 1981.
There will be plenty of activities for the entire family during both days. One of the most popular things to do is the Canaligator Race at Canal Bridge; participants buy plastic alligators to float down the canal and there are prizes for the first and last finishers. Also taking place is the 2nd annual wine tasting event, which will feature the products of six area wineries.
More than 100 arts and crafts, commercial, and food vendors will be on hand to sell their goods and there will be a farm market. The annual car show is expected to feature more than 250 vehicles on display, there will be a variety of children's activities, and, as in past years, the Friday Night Show will offer lots of entertainment.
Vendor spaces are still available until June 15. A 10x10 space is available for $145 for arts and crafts and $400 for commercial companies.
Vendors will no doubt come from different communities in the area such as Fairport to participate. Many may invest in flyer or poster printing services to make their booths more attractive to passersby.
Spencerport Canal Days will be held from July 25 to 26 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm each day. For more information, visit the event website.
