An event that will see kids and parents explore the world of marine biology is currently open for registration, and it will provide an introduction to the field intended to be both fun and educational.
The Junior Marine Biologist Parent and Me program has been developed by the East Northport area Cranberry Hill Environmental Center, and there are four sessions to choose from. The ticket price, which is $25, is for one child/parent pair, and they are on sale now.
The participants in the activity will be getting some face-to-face time with live marine animals, and they will also make a craft and engage in other learning. The sessions are scheduled to run for approximately 45 minutes each, and it is suitable for children who enjoy learning about the natural world.
An activity like this often sparks a lifelong interest in marine biology, and the organizers may want to foster this even further by providing each child with an explorer’s kit to take home.
