East Northport residents who want to put their appetite to the test will be able to do so when they participate in a local eating competition.
The crew at Northport Shipwreck Diner will be preparing stacks on flapjacks for its Pancake Eating Content, and it will add an extra dash of fun to area Independence Day celebrations. It will take place in the morning, and at the time this was written, there were still spaces available.
The friendly competition will see the contestants vie for bragging rights, and the monies raised through registration fees will be donated to the Northport VA. There are registration-only and registration-plus-event T-shirt options, and these start at $10.00 each. Prizes will be presented to the winners, and there's different age categories to choose from. The event promises to be lots of fun, and the organizers are hoping for lots of community support.
