East Northport is known for being a community that cures, and a local Chamber of Commerce has scheduled an event that will help make sure everyone has warm clothing this winter.
The Northport Chamber of Commerce will once again be running its annual Winter Coat Drive, and it will be its 22nd year. It will be running for 12 days, and everyone can lend a hand.
To make it easy for the public to participate, the planners have placed collection stations at five area businesses, and they appreciate their support. Donations of gently used coats, warm jackets, gloves, hats and scarves, and all sizes are needed. These will be collected and distributed to those in need, and all contributions will make a difference. The function is one of the service project undertaken by the Chamber, and kick off its 2026 schedule.
Donation drives can make a big impact, and a flyer printing company can prepare materials that help spread the word to as many as possible. They can also craft signage and custom Floor Graphics to place at the collection points, which can be helpful in drawing even more attention to an activity.
