Embroidery is a pastime that adds a decorative touch to textiles, and an East Northport area workshop will equip those who take part with the basic skills needed to release their inner sewist.
Nest on Main has scheduled an introduction to embroidery class, and each of the participants will walk away with a T-shirt they have decorated by hand. The registration fee is $49.87, and when they sign up, attendees will be asked to indicate their T-shirt size.
The group will be enjoying a two-hour introduction to the basics of embroidery, where they will be able to add their own creative touch. They can use the techniques they will learn to complete other projects, such as a decorated bag or item of clothing, and all materials needed for the project will be provided to them. Kits will be available for purchase at the end of the class.
Learning a new skill may be a lot of fun, especially when it is carried out along with others in a group setting. A flyer printing company can lend a hand when it comes to getting the word out about any upcoming activity.
This introduction to the art of embroidery will be on offer starting at 6:00 pm on Friday, July 12. The venue is situated at 135 Main Street in Northport.
