Starting a new business can be a real leap of faith, and those in the audience for an East Northport presentation will walk away with a set of tools they can put to good use.
The Community Room at the East Northport Public Library has been reserved for an activity that may be of interest to local entrepreneurs. It is geared towards those who do not have a big budget to work with, and the agenda for the presentation will cover an assortment of pertinent topics.
The lecture, which will be led by a member of Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), will pack a lot of information into its two-hour run time. They will discuss getting a small business started from the ground floor up, including insurance, financing options, paying taxes and also the legal aspects of running a company. Creating a business plan is also on the agenda, and everyone will be able to ask questions.
Along with all of the other topics, attendees in the workshop will learn about developing a marketing plan. Print shops can provide an assortment of customized promotional materials, ranging from Business Cards to Brochures.
This opportunity for area entrepreneurs to hit the ground running with their new company will be on offer on December 6. Registration will close at 6:30 pm on that day.
